How will the Alexander Technique help me?

Learning the Alexander Technique shows you how to let go of developed habits which may have caused tension leading to pain and discomfort.

The technique maximises efficiency and performance in your work and home life and is a great way of coping with stress and physical conditions. The Alexander Technique has been proven to help alleviate the following conditions:

Of course, as with any learned skill, practice between lessons is encouraged to maintain the positive changes which can be gained.  It takes a minimum of six lessons to notice a difference and around thirty lessons to make the improvements more permanent.  Each lesson brings an increasing awareness of how the body is meant to be aligned and an introduction to various procedures to help maintain the practice of Alexander Technique between lessons and indeed for life.
